Mild Steel Finish (Ready to Rust)

Rustic decor is increasingly popular in gardens, providing a charming, organic aesthetic that harmonises with nature. Opting for a mild steel stake allows it to naturally develop a unique patina over time, transforming it into a rustic masterpiece. Once your stake has achieved the desired level of rust, you can preserve its appearance by applying a clear lacquer to prevent further oxidation. Additionally, you have the flexibility to paint your mild steel stake to complement your garden's style, making it a versatile choice.

Powder-Coated Finish

A powder-coated finish offers excellent durability against various weather conditions due to its strong, hardened surface. However, if the coating becomes scratched or damaged, it's advisable to re-coat the entire metal area to maintain a consistent appearance. While touch-up paint in black is available for powder-coated surfaces, be aware that larger touch-up areas may reveal slight colour differences, which could be noticeable.

Are your stakes able to withstand different weather conditions?

Definitely! Our stakes are designed to handle a variety of weather elements. If the metal is powder-coated, this offers excellent durability against the elements.

What should I do if I opt for the mild steel option?

Not much! The beauty of choosing the mild steel option is to let it develop a natural rust over time, creating a lovely rustic patina. Once it reaches your preferred level of rust, we suggest applying a clear sealant or using an oily rag finish to prevent any further rusting.

How long is the stake part ?

For ensuring sufficient anchoring into the ground, the length of the stake is 18cm

Is it easy to attach the stakes ? - Attaching the stakes is verystraightforward! We use 'nyloc' nuts, so all you need is a wrench (spanner) and a screwdriver.

How can I hang this on the wall ? - To hang it on the wall, our silhouette features two pre-drilled 5mm holes. This design enables you to easily and securely attach your silhouette to a wall, fence, or any preferred spot (please note that hardware is not included).

How strong are your stakes?

They may be small and charming, but don’t let their size fool you; they are remarkably robust and well-built.

Do you have a return policy?

We’re delighted that you love our stakes! If the stake is a standard design from our stock, we can accept returns. However, if it’s a custom-made item, we cannot accept returns unless there’s a defect with your stake (which we truly hope doesn’t occur!).

Timescales

Typically, we can ship our standard stakes and wall art within 3 to 5 business days. However, if you've opted for personalisation, please allow around 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

We’re excited to share that all products from Sit-U Ltd come with a one-year guarantee starting from the date of your complete payment! This warranty covers any structural defects caused by poor materials or workmanship related to the mild steel used. Just a friendly reminder, though—regular wear and tear or any damage incurred isn’t covered. Thanks for choosing us!

Powder-Coated Finish

Our Powder-Coated finish is durable, hard-wearing and weather resistant, and for this reason we offer a six month guarantee on all our powder-coated products in case rust appears during this period

It's important to note that this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or any damage that affects the integrity of the powder-coated finish.
